Opinion:

Pros:

The secondary lock does provide a little bit of comfort in knowing that you have a secure lock. However, I pretty much never find myself using it as it is just one more thing that I would have to do. I like that I can carry the P841 in my preferred orientation. Overall the texturing of the handle is comfortable, it smooth enough to not tear up my hand, while rough enough to give me grip. So far the actual blade has felt very well equipped for whatever task, I really like the lines on this knife it just flows in my opinion. Additionally, the action on this knife is pretty smooth, it does feel a little bit sluggish but consistent all the same.

Cons:

There are a few problems with this design in my opinion. First, while the extra lock seems nice in principle, I don't use it and my finger occasionally catches it when deploying the blade with the flipper. This has been an uncomfortable point of contact for me. I also wish that the handle was slightly redesigned. Currently, I can barely get a full grip, despite the fact that there is extra handle material between my index finger and the blade. I think that they either could have shifted the main finger groove or added a choil to the blade along with some jimping on the spine. Lastly, I think they either should have gotten rid of the thumb studs or should have made them larger. At this point, they don't really give you much to grip onto so they are almost a waste.

Conclusion:

Overall, the P841 is a decent knife, it definitely has not turned me off of the brand and I plan on trying out some more of their knives as they seem to be a really good budget-friendly alternative. There are definitely some flaws in my opinion that will keep it from being carried more often but it has still been a nice experience.
