Opinion:

Pros:

I have really gotten into flipper mechanics lately, it seems that even though this is the only one with an assisted opening, all of the knives I have been testing out have had a flipper mechanic. I really appreciate the fact that this knife features a reversible pocket clip, I prefer to carry my knives tip up in my right pocket so I am perfectly fine as long as a knife accommodates that style. The handle on the Clash is very comfortable, in my opinion the texture does not add very much, but the overall ergonomics feel great. I also have not had any play with the blade and the lock has held up well. I never seem to have problems with liner locks, I know some people prefer a different design, but I actually like liner locks and have never had one fail on me.

Cons:

I do have a few small gripes with this blade. First is that I am not as big a fan of partially serrated knives like I have mentioned but they do offer a version of this knife that is solid, this is just the version I picked up on Black Friday. I also wish that the handle was a little bit more narrow. Like I said this knife is very comfortable, but it feels a little bit clunky in my pocket. in addition to this the spine of the handle is almost completely solid whereas I prefer for an opening. The last complaint I have is that if you carry this knife tip up in your pocket it has a rather large point that sticks out of your pocket. These are not huge problems but just small design choices I wish were different.

General Thoughts:

First and foremost, like I said I picked this knife up on Black Friday for $17 on Amazon. Now that the sale is over it has gone back up to around $25. However, on the Kershaw website it is listed as around $53. I personally think that the Amazon price point is a more accurate representation. That being said, even with the issues I pointed out this has quickly become one of my favorite knives and I find my self reaching for it nearly every day, even when I need to test out other products.
